Sketching is one of those things that I'm not terribly good at, but that I very much enjoy. But in the busyness of life, it had kind of fallen by the wayside--and it was such a pleasure to take it up again! Here are a few of my efforts:

(Yeah, I knit and crochet for the fun of it, too, but there I'm still getting a tangible, very usable object--socks, sweater, etc.--out of the process. So it doesn't seem quite the same. Maybe I need to knit more impractical things...)

I realized a few years ago that if I was knitting for a published pattern, I couldn't knit on Sunday. But then my fingers wanted to make things. So I tried Zen Tangling. I'm not good at it. But when I decorate margins of notes in meetings, my brain stays put instead of floating out the window. And the pens make good stocking stuffers.

Oh my goodness, YES. Being able to do something with my hands helps me SO MUCH with my focus when I'm supposed to be listening to something.
And, thank you! Space princesses are very much my thing. :D
