Not that I agree with everything FOF says, but I wouldn't put them in the same category as Vision Forum.

(Though now it's been a while since I wrote the review and even longer since I read the book, so I think that's what I was thinking about when I wrote that!)Jessica Snellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17185831697537364088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6210913620206544383.post-47016840737739140822009-06-21T21:43:07.259-07:002009-06-21T21:43:07.259-07:00I've only read one on your list, but I agree w...I've only read one on your list, but I agree with you about Family Matters--good, but it loses momentum about halfway through.

The Quiverfull book sounds good, and I'm afraid that your last commenter is probably right. I'm glad you read Quiverfull... I r...ooohh... I'm glad you read Quiverfull... I read it too. It is very interesting. And, knowing families who buy into that theology/philosophy, I don't think she exaggerates their weirdness much at all. This new patriarchy movement is a dangerous path, especially for daughters, whose only ambitions in life can be to be a mother and wife. Nothing wrong with those roles, but so sad when women are barred from higher education because they need to stay in the kitchen.
